These heavy-duty compound aviation shears have extra-long, serrated jaws that make it easier to cut longer lengths of sheet metal without struggling to maneuver the sheet into position. These sturdy shears can handle soft metal up to 1 -gauge and stainless steel up to 22 gauge. Shears operate like scissors, with blades that smoothly bypass one another as they cut, but have a more robust construction ideal for cutting sheet. Straight-blade shears are perfect for cutting fine, straight lines.

• The compound joint offers two pivot points and keeps the jaw edges parallel to each other as they open and close, creating even pressure and delivering a clean cut. The jaws remain open until the handles are squeezed closed; a simple hook closure on the inside of the handles keeps the tool closed for safe storage and transport.
