This set of Glardon Vallorbe® habilis wax files includes five commonly used file shapes and is ideal for jobs that need finer shaping than a hand file can offer but are too large for a needle file. Whether you're filing a flat surface, the inside of a ring, or widening a slot, this set of wax files ensures you will have the file shape you need for all of your model-making designs. The sharp, long-lasting carvers cut wax cleanly and feature a built-in handle, eliminating the need for a holder or vise. This set includes one of each shape: pillar, three-square, round, square and half-round. These files have a Swiss cut #3; Swiss-cut files are graded by the number of teeth, counting teeth perpendicular to the long axis of the file. In all cut styles, the higher the number, the finer its cut. Wax files feature broad patterns of coarse teeth that quickly and efficiently cut and shape hard wax and other relatively soft materials for model-making. The teeth resist clogging, allow you to form the basic shape for your design models, and then refine their details prior to creating molds. The first choice for most jewelers, Glardon Vallorbe® files are manufactured to the highest production standards, made in Switzerland of the finest heat-tempered chrome-alloy steel, hardened to 65 HRC.
