Round Tapered Tube Bezel Setting

This 14-karat yellow gold tube setting holds one 4mm round faceted gemstone. Tapering gives the setting an attractive profile that suits a variety of jewelry styles such as rings, pendants and drops. Pre-formed seats provide a professional start to stone-setting and help ensure level setting—complete the setting by adjusting the seat to fit your individual stone using a setting bur. Check your stone size carefully; because gemstone sizes vary within a certain tolerance, the setting may not be suitable for your stone. Tube settings are literally cut from (or cast as) a tube with enough thickness to allow a seat for the gemstone to be cut into their interior walls. The setting is finished in roughly the same way as a bezel; the tube walls are pushed inward and burnished over the girdle of the stone to hold it securely in place.
