Fretz® B-1 Miniature Flat Bezel-Forming Stake

This miniature flat bezel-forming stake from Fretz® is ideal for forming and stretching custom bezels to tailor-fit stones. With this stake, you can create the sharp corners for a rectangular or flat bezel with a hammer, instead of mitering. You can also use the stake to form or planish a wide variety of metals—applying traditional silversmithing techniques on a much smaller scale. Designed by Bill Fretz, miniature stakes are specially created for smaller-scale shaping and forming such as rings, bezels and small vessels that can be difficult to make using full-sized stakes. The shapes and sizes of these stakes allow you to precisely shape smaller bezels for rings, bracelets and pendants by stretching the metal to form curves, cups and rims.
