Fretz® M-104 Large Concave Forming Stake
This large concave forming stake from Fretz® is perfect for forming gentle curves on narrow bracelet blanks up to 1" in width; with wider sheet (up to 1-½" wide), the curves will be more dramatic. This stake is also useful for creating tubular curves for small hollowware; it accommodates tubing that is at least 2" in diameter. Stakes provide a surface under (or inside) the metal that enhances the work of the hammer in creating a wide variety of curves, folds and shapes. Choose stakes with surface features that allow you to create the forms you want. The maximum width given (1-½") is for metal that you will not move laterally as it is formed; much wider metal blanks can be used if you will be moving the metal as you create your design.
